SPORTS ELIGIBILITY
SPORTS ELIGIBILITY:- Appointments shall be made of a sportsperson who has participated in any of the games/sports and considered meritorious with reference to the following criteria:-
Sportspersons having represented:
(i) A state or the country in the National or International Competition in any of the games/sports mentioned in the list For the purpose of recruitment the international meets/competitions shall be categorized as under:-
- Category-A : (1) Olympic Games
- (2) World Championships/ World Cup
- Category-B : (1) Asian Games
- (2) Commonwealth Games
- (3) Asian Championships/ Cup
- (4) Commonwealth Championships / Cup
- (ii) Further, keeping in view the overall intention of the Government of India behind the recruitment through sports quota to promote and nurture sportspersons, priority shall be given to a candidate without any sponsorship/scholarship/contract/employment under central, state government & PSUs over the other similarly placed candidate being in receipt of monetary compensation in the nature of sponsorship/scholarship/contract/ employment under central, state government & PSUs from any Indian/Non-Indian entity.

How to Apply
Applications must be submitted in the format given in Annexure-II and addressed to the Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (Admn.), 2nd Floor, Aayakar Bhawan, 16/69, Civil Lines, Kanpur – 208 001 by post or by hand within one month from the date of publication of advertisement. The envelope containing the application should also be superscripted as follows:

- Before filling the online application, candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions contained in “How to fill the Online Application form” provided on the website. They may click on the ‘Career’ button to get the instruction for online application submission.
- Before filling “Final Registration”, candidates should keep the following ready:
- Scanned copy of their passport size photograph in .jpg/.jpeg format of maximum 75 KB size
- Scanned copy of signature in .jpg/.jpeg format of maximum 25 KB size.
- Scanned copy of Caste certificate for SC, ST and OBC candidates and disability certificates for Person with Disabilities (PWD) candidates in .jpg/.jpeg format of maximum 500 KB size
- Scanned copy of EWS certificate for EWS candidates in .jpg/.jpeg format of maximum 500 KB size
- Scanned copy of percentage conversion certificate issued by competent authority from Institute/University in .jpg/.jpeg format of maximum 500 KB size. In case where the declared result is already in percentage, student should upload a self certification regarding the same.
- Fill the details online for final submission. Ensure successful submission of online form for completion of registration process. On successful completion of registration process, an auto generated mail shall be sent on the registered email Id. The candidates are required to take printout of the application after submission of online form. Candidates are required to keep the printout of the application, which will be required at the time of Personal Interview, if short listed.
- To complete the online application process and get the Application number, it is mandatory to put in all the relevant information such as qualifying degree details, percentage of marks, email address and mobile no., address for correspondence, soft copy of scanned photograph and signature (JPEG). Therefore, applicants are advised to keep such information ready before applying online.
- Exact percentage of marks should be mentioned in qualification table and rounding off of marks should not be done.
- After submitting the online application, the candidates should print the Computer-Generated Online Application and the Acknowledgement Slip and keep a copy for their reference and records.
- Since all the applications will be screened based on the data furnished in the online application and without any documentary evidence / proof, the candidate should ensure that they meet all the prescribed eligibility criteria and other conditions as mentioned in this advertisement.
- Candidates should note that the details provided by them in their application forms are taken on their face value and the onus of proving the correctness and authenticity of the same as and when required lies with the applicant.
- Category of SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen/EWS once filled in the online application form will not be changed.
